34 Weeks

So we have hit the 34 week mark and are headed into week 35. Hard to believe how fast time has flown by. I went to the doctor yesterday and they said everything looked healthy and great. I have only gained about 7lbs total for the pregnancy so far. Keep in mind that I lost about 15lbs in the first 18 weeks due to daily sickness, so I have gained all that weight back and then some, but still I am doing well. The doc also said that anytime after 37 weeks will be considered full term and they would not stop my labor-- that was a little shock for me, because while I am very excited to meet her, I am just not ready for her to be here yet. If am anything like my mother the due date will come and go and I will still be pregnant.

I feel like we are in the final home stretch and ready or not....

Baby Shower

Today was a very exciting day, because we had our first baby shower. It was hosted by my boss at work and I felt very blessed by all the generosity. Enjoy the show below.

8 Weeks in Counting!

Hard to be believe we only have 8 weeks left until this little girl is expected to make an appearance. She is definitely growing like a little weed, each day I am slowly feeling more and more pregnant. Meaning:
  • I can not longer sit on the floor without assistance getting up, made that mistake in public- sat on Home Depot's floor trying to get something off the bottom shelf and like to have never gotten up.
  • When I turn over in bed I shake the entire bed waking both Mike and the dog up
  • I can no longer bend over at the waist
  • Squatting is not really an option either because my calves are sore from cramping at night (which also wakes up my other bed mates)
  • Lastly, I was watching a Food Network cake competition last night and instead of admiring their skills all I was thinking the whole time was "man, that cake looks good, I wonder where I could get some cake at this hour."
Here is the 32 week picture, her favorite position is right up in my ribs and lungs, just so that it makes my heart race and breathing difficult until I change positions.

We have also been working steadily on the nursery below are some of the updates.
