Very Busy

Not too much to report. Life/ work has been very busy especially for me. I started my summer orientation sessions and I knew I would have to slow down, being almost 6 months pregnant, but I didn't realize it would require this much slow down. After 2 sessions back to back, long days (5am-10p) and much of that on my feet it caught up to me real quick. Not only was I extremely exhausted, I got lightheaded pretty easily because I was on my feet too much and somehow I manage to get a nosebleed (I really think that was more allergy related)--- let's just say my body told me real quick that I needed to slow down. Don't worry I have learned my lesson and now that we have some sessions under our belt, my staff is much more confident in their jobs, so that will relief some stress as well. Tomorrow (Sunday) I have another session, but then I have a break and things will get really crazy July 10th, when I have about 6 sessions in a row.

Below is my 24 week picture. My belly is getting bigger by the day and she is quiet the kicker, especially at night.

Productive Weekend

This weekend proved to be quiet productive. Here are some things we accomplished.

#1: One of my MAJOR side affects of pregnancy has been indecisiveness. I just can't seem to make decisions on anything, especially when it comes to the baby's room. We are over the halfway point so I have been told it is high time for me to start making some decisions and actually planning for her arrival. I have been really into sewing, and really struggling to find crib bedding I like, so I thought I will make the bedding, why not? Well after a meltdown at Joann's on Saturday trying to pick fabrics (there were just too many options), I decided that buying may be a better route. After searching I finally found something that both Mike and I are happy with. Here are some pictures of th bedding, we won't be getting the entire nursery set, mainly just the sheets, bumper, quilt and crib skirt.

#2: We purchased our daughter's first round of OSU Beaver gear. At the end of each term the bookstore always does a huge sale (50%-75% off), so we decided to browse the kids/ baby items. We bought her a few items, most of which she has to be at least 1 year old to wear, but she will be ready to root on the Beavers for their 2010 season.

#3: As I have mentioned before she is very active and bouncing around in my belly, but this weekend I had an extra special bonding moment-- I made my first piece of baby clothing. I made bloomers. Surprisingly it only took me about 2 hours and for a first pair, not too bad.
